The five mission symbols under the cockpit of this Wellington 1c could indicate that the photograph was taken just after William Wighamís fifth mission with 101 Squadron in October 1941. Photograph courtesy Howard Wigham.

William Wigham is second from the left.

Howard Wighamís research has come up with the following names for his fatherís crew in 1941-42. Hopefully someone out there will have more information on these men and will be able to place the other faces on the photograph.:

New Zealander Sgt A C Callender NZ403422 was the pilot and is presumably at fourth left

Sgts Ward, Young and Wigham were the other regulars in the five and sometimes six-man crew, while the other two or three postions, sometimes also substituting Ward, were drawn from the following:

F/O Doig, Justice, Appleby, Hewitt DFM, Jones, Foxcroft, Borsberry, Bunting, P/O Keen and Pilkington.
